Sew Anniversary!

In case you didn't know, February is the month of everything love and what better way to celebrate than a sale! There are 5 Love themed downloads to buy from the store for just £1 each during February!  I've used I Love You Sew and all are scraps from a previous project and as I hate to throw any bit away, I knew I'd be able to use them at some point - there is always method in my madness!

Love, Love, Love....

Hi all,
It's Debbie here, popping by to share with you a make using 1 of the 5 love themed paper downloads by the lovely Anice.
Wow, haven't the creations been fabulous so far from the talented funkettes.

This is 1 of my favourite collections as it's not just for a love themed project. All of  the Funkyhand digital papercraft downloads always have several sheets that you can use for any occasion, which makes them so versatile.

On Pinterest I saw a card that used jigsaw pieces on a card and remembered that I'd been bought some blank little jigsaw pieces for stamping on a few years ago by my hubby, so I decided to draw around them and cut them out of these yummy papers.

I really enjoyed playing with these papers again. Remember that all these Love downloads papers are available for a special price of £1.

There will be another post tomorrow, so don't miss it.
Hugs Debbie xx

2 Little Birds

Hi, Kathy here today with a cute little box made using
 the "I Heart You" download

I've been meaning to make one of these birdhouse-shaped boxes for ages and what better time than now?
This box opens at the base for adding some little treats - though I think it would need a little bit of tape to make sure it stayed closed.  If I made another I would try and come up with an alternative - maybe make a little door at the back and seal the base up altogether.

I printed the designs I wanted to use onto white Bazzill card. then cut the box pieces one using my Silhouette machine.
When I print onto card I cut the 12x12 sheets down to just under A4 width, which leaves a long narrow cut-off which I don't want to waste, obviously!

One of the great things about Funky Hand downloads is that you can resize the designs - maybe "cut" a little bit off the side, then alter your printer's settings so you can print onto odd sizes of paper or card.  So I print the main pieces on the large sheet, then use the off-cuts to print any smaller pieces I need - I hope that makes sense!

Basically, by doing this, and printing on both sides I only used 1 whole sheet of 12x12, plus an extra off cut length from my box of scraps

Materials and Tools
Silhouette machine to cut box shape
Spellbinders Nesties: plain circle and Lacey circle
EK Success border punch for "tiles" on roof and the gable design

Heart feature at the top of the box is cut from one of the papers
Little birds are hand-cut, as is the door
Perch is just a tightly rolled scrap of paper, glued up then poked through a small hole made with needle tool and bamboo skewer
The birds are attached to the box with cut up pieces of foam tape so they stand away from the box

There you go - a cute idea for a little Lovebirds box to fill up with treats for your own loved one. I hope you like it

I had some leftovers after making the box so I made a scrapling card

Materials and Tools
Scraps of  Funky Hand Download  "I Heart You"
Baker's Twine and Silver thread
Small metal key charm

The big heart is made by covering both sides of a  scrap of card then die-cutting (DieNamics Nesting Hearts)
I then embossed it with a Cuttlebug "Swirls" folder, inked lightly with a silver ink pad, then traced over the swirls with Stickles Ice glitter glue (Crystal Ice)
The tiny punched hearts were shaped with an embossing ball tool then dixed in place with a blob of Glossy Accents

Remember, all the "Love themed" downloads are on a Special Loved-Up price of only £1 each all through February, so a great time to stock up on downloads you may have missed.

We'd love to see what you make too.....
Thanks for visiting today

I Love You Sew!

Morning all, Tammy here with another post! As you know it is a month long celebration of LOVE and to celebrate we have all of the downloads in the LOVE section on offer for just £1! For todays card I used the I Love You Sew themed download. Keeping my card CAS I stuck to just 2 different pieces.
I added a strip of black with a scallop punched border, then die cut some pink hearts to over lay. I hand stamped the sentiment directly onto the card (and then stopped holding my breath incase it was wonky!!) finished with a couple of small pink pearls I love the CAS look!

Thats all from me, remember to check back tomorrow for more inspiration!

Huge Funky Love post it note holder...

Papers- Huge Funky Love.
Post it note holder- SlL Store cut file.
Morning everyone,

Its Lou in with a post for you all this morning! Before I waffle on too much I just wanted to remind you that all the downloads in the LOVE section of the shop are just £1 in celebration of the season of love!! he he he!! but there are some super downloads in there and they are good for all year round.

We get through a whole tonne of post it notes in our house (....because little Mo loves them.....and because I am forever loosing my little pad of them!!!) so when I saw this cut file in the silhouette store I just knew it would go perfectly with the Huge Funky Love download.

Now, its a wordbook download too but the bonus is these delicious A4 papers that co-ordinate with it too and it is one of my favourite downloads ever. Here's a piccy for you to peek at of all the lovely bits in this download..

Huge Funky Love downloadable craft word book

I always print on one side and then pop the papers back through, printing a different design from the download on the other side to give myself a double sided paper, that way you get a lovely contrast when you do things like little rips or turns like I have in the top right corner.

Thank you for popping in! our Tammy will be in tomorrow to show you something else.

Hearts and Flowers Duo

Hello

Happy New Year!

Gosh, it's been a while since we popped by to post some of our Funky Hand makes, hasn't it?  We will try and be better now the festivities are over.

Lets face it, we could probably all do with a bit of creative inspiration to get us crafting again -  I'm always relieved to put away the most Christmassy stuff, and I'm desperate to craft something different I seem to have forgotten how to make anything without baubles, trees, snowflakes stockings ........ but maybe that's just me......

Anyway, I needed a little gift box to put a birthday present in, so I made  a little pillow box and matching birthday card using the
Would you believe that when I went to save my photos I discovered that I'd never made anything with these designs before?  So even after several years of designing with Fabulous Funky Hand I can still find "new" treasures.  This is a little tip for you too - pop across to the shop and see what's there that you've missed - it might be just the kick-start you need to get crafting
I started by printing the main design on one side of a sheet of A4 card and another on the other side - so that both the inside and outside of the finished box would look pretty.  Then I resized and printed a selection of the designs on both sides of another sheet of card so that I had plenty of choice for the trimming the box and making the birthday card

As you can see, I put lots of dies and punches to work making these, then I raided my embellishment stash to find matching net, ribbon, gems and pearls to finish it off

The colours were such a refreshing change to use after all the festive ones that I really felt energised and ready to do some more crafting.  I've been busy exploring and printing off more papers from the various downloads and CDs and wading through my Pinterest boards for all those ideas "saved to try later"!

Here are the card and box together in one last really dreadful photo - I really should learn to check the images to make sure I have good photos before putting the things in the post! Ah well, such is life

Come back soon for more Funky Hand Crafting - and if you've been using Funky Hand goodies in your own crafting, we'd really love to see so leave us a link so we can pop by.
