New Products! :)

Hi bloggers, Ni here toay to share some Funky makes with you. I hope you all had a nice weekend, it has been so cold and we have had little flutters of snow here in Norwich. So my 2 cards are the opposite, bright and cheery and trying to encourage some nicer weather!

As the title suggests these cards today are using recently released Funky Hand products, the pretty Just for Jen download (as previously mentioned by other Funkettes as our part in raising cancer awareness) and two of the new digital stamps drawn by our very own Boss Lady, Anice. :)

The 2 digital stamps I'm sharing today are from a series entitled, Where The Fairies Live, Tree Stump Lane and if you check back on the blog you will see how versatile these images are with Lou's great cards in a much more vintage style whereas my cards today are much more CAS (Clean and Simple).

The 'New Home' card above uses no.2 Tree Stump Lane, with the cute little toadstool and flower outside and the birthday card below is using no.1 Tree Stump Lane with the flowers and vines round the house and it even has curtains in the window!

I hope you like my version of the digi's, in my next post I am planning to share 2 more new designs! Back soon, Ni. :)

Pretty in Purple!

Morning!  It's my turn (Ruth) to provide some inspiration and to show how versatile the Funky Hand products are!  I've used base papers from Is It Christmas? download - just goes to show that Christmas can be used all year round!

I've inked the edges and then added a line of glitter around the inner layer.  Die cut with the Flower Cake digi stamp has also been edged with glitter.

I've coloured the digi with Promarkers and added some clear dew drops to the flower centres and also to the prima flowers.  Ribbon is from my stash.

The sentiment on the cake banner I've written but you could add your own if you wished!

And if you need to make a card for a male, there is the Star Cake digi available, also only £1.49!

Funky Anniversary

Afternoon Funky Fans- hope your weekend is going good so far.
I wanted to share this card with you today to show how quickly you can make an emergency card- I've been very busy working weekends and late nights and haven't been having a lot of crafty time lately and then I realised I needed an anniversary card which had to be made and then sent in the post straight away to have any chance of getting there on time.

So I printed off the sentiment from the Wishes and Kisses  Papercraft CD and I already had printed and coloured the wonderful new Star Cake digi in pink and red and looking over to my printer I had one of the lovely papers from the Just For Jen download all ready just for me to use.
So I just covered a shaped card blank with the paper, mounted the digi and used foam pads to stick it and the sentiment to the card, punched out some hearts and hey presto card done and in the post and they should have it today for their celebrations.

Would love to see if you have had to make a quick card using Funky Hand products so just add your link below and we will pop over and admire your handiwork

Remember to pop back mid week for some more inspiration

Valentine's Choccies

As I am sure we are all aware it's St Valentine's Day on Thursday.  After almost 16 years of marriage hubby and I don't do much for it to be honest.  A card if I'm lucky, if I got flowers I'd be suspicious haha!

I usually get the old man a sweetie or two though.  This year I thought the new download from Funky Hand, Just for Jen was perfect for a bit of Valentine's craftiness.  I chose the grey paper cos it's perfect for Ian, he's not much of a hearts and flowers type.  Red always goes so well with grey, plus it matched the heart Choccies so had to go with that.

The box was a little one I got from ikea ages ago.  They come plain white for decorating and are perfect for us crafters. I cut a swirl for behind the heart, the sentiment was done on the pc.  The narrow ribbon was one of those most annoying loops found inside almost every top I buy these days! I cut them out and put them straight in my craft stash.

The Choccies hearts were from poundland (shhh don't tell hubby). Sadly not all the Choccies would fit in and there was one lonely wee heart left all on its ownsome...........not for long though I soon put it out of its misery.

Hope you get some lovely goodies for St Valentines Day. And if you get some crafty time with any of the fabby Funky Hand goodies, please link up what you make we'd love to see it.

Star Cake card

Hi all,

It's Debbie here and it's my turn to show you what I've been making.  It's a week ago since the new download Just for Jen was released and wow what an amazing download it is,so useful too.  I decided to use one of the digital stamps called star cake.
The digital stamps are easy to colour and you don't have to be a fantastic colourer either, I certainly aren't.
What did I need
1 piece of printed backing paper from the download,
1 sheet of white card stock,
Card base,
Cutting dies,
Typed sentiment from funkyhand wishes and kisses cdrom,
1 digi stamp printed and some promarkers(or any colouring medium you have to hand).

What did I do

I attached the backing paper to the card base,
Cut out some star and a scalloped sheet using some dies in my cuttlebug,
Coloured and cut out the digital stamp, then glittered it.
Then I attached the sentiment and image.
Really simple card with clean lines yet very quick and easy to do.
So why not dig out any of your funkyhand goodies and add your link and we'll pop over and see your creations. Also remember we're on facebook so you could add your lovely cards etc on there for us to see.

Bye for now Debbie x
