A Funky Flower Festival for September

 Hi there
Another month, another new challenge here on Get Funky!
Thank you to all who joined in our First Birthday Celebratory challenge last month - for our September challenge I'd like you to help me (Kathy) celebrate my own birthday which occurs in the middle of this month!
If you've ever visited my personal blog, you'll already know that I just can't stop using flowers on my cards and projects, so what I'd really love to see is a

Fabulous Funky Floral Fantasy
The catch is that I need to see lots of dimension in the way you use the flowers, so just a flower patterned paper, or a flat flowery image just won't cut it!  Think lots of layers or try making some of the wonderful 3d flowers that are around at the moment - there are lots of tutorials and you-tube videos out there to get you started.

So - any project you like - could be cards, books, Scrapbook pages.... whatever, it all counts as long as there are some luscious 3d flowers for us to see! The other thing to remember is that your project will only be eligible for the prize if you use at least one Funky Hand product - there are LOADS of papers and extras to choose from so that bit won't be difficult! Click HERE for a quick link to the Funky Hand website ;-).

Here's how to be in with a chance of winning this month's £20.00 voucher to spend in the Funky Hand on-line shop:
1. Add your Fabulous Funky Floral Fantasy. project to your blog,
2. Don't forget to say which Funky Hand product(s) you've used,
3. Come back before midnight Sept 30th (UK time) and leave a message with a link so that we can see what you've made.
Here's what the Funky Hand Gang have made this month, we hope you'll find something here to inspire you to join in

This month sees the first Get Funky! submissions from our three latest DT members, so look out for the fab projects Debs, Jane and Lou have made.
Right, here we go - lots and lots of flowers for you delight!

Firstly, just look at the wonderful layered flower Allison made using designs from the Colour Me Happy CD
Enfys printed a design from the Colour Me Happy CD directly onto a scalloped edge card base, the flowers were also cut from one of the pattern papers.
Lou also used designs from the Colour Me Happy CD to make the background and those fabulous pleated flowers
Sumptuous - there's no better word to describe  the card Jules has made this month, these papers are from the Dreams Come True CD
The "Blissful Baby" collection from the Colour Me Happy CD was Dolly's choice of paper for this fabulous shaped card. I just adore her beautiful handmade flower
Next, a veritable bouquet of lovely layered blooms adorning the corner of Jane's gorgeous project! These papers are from the Dreams Come True CD
Debs used papers from one of the Funky Hand Download collections (Hearts & Flowers) to create this soft and oh-so-pretty card

I love the pot of flowers with the string bow that Kath has made this month - and the flower border panel just sets it all off so perfectly, these lovely papers are from the "Now That's Funky" CD
Lythan's fabulous central layered flower is just sooooo striking, it really grams your attention. I just love the colours and mix of paper designs she's chosen to use for this card.  These designs are more from the latest CD "Colour Me Happy"
Just look at the wonderful bunch of flowers that Ruth has made using papers printed from the Funky Daze CD.  Wouldn't they be just perfect for taking to a loved one in a hospital with a "no real flowers" rule?
Below we have Bold and Beautiful colours and patterns for the layered flowers from Anice. These designs are from the Colour Me Happy CD.  That's "real" sewing you can see on there (Anice seemed keen that we should know that....hehe)

Which just leaves me (Kathy) to add a couple of photos of the caddy and flower centre I made using one of my fave sets (Contented Coffee) from the Colour Me Happy CD.  I had such a ball making all these flowers - it was actually hard to stop myself from making even more!

I hope you've enjoyed seeing what we've been making - you can click on any of these photos and have a closer look, btw. Hopefully you now just can't wait to get started making some flowery creations of your own!  I'm really looking forward to seeing the flowers you make for this challenge.
Happy Crafting

Kathy
