Feeling Blue!

Hello! Jenny here & it's time for me to share my 'January Blues' project with you!

I've used some blue & white spotty paper from the Rainbow Polkadots download combined with a present digi image from Twelve Crafters Crafting - I enlarged the digi image (which has 7 different presents on it) to fit the A4 workspace in Papercraft Factory before printing it onto white card.  I've cut out just one of the presents leaving a tiny white border around it to help the image stand out. I then coloured it with Promarkers before adding some shimmer dots to the heart & bow & fixed it to the card with 3d foam.  I've then tied some embroidery thread around the card front - leaving the knots visible, before adding a few more gems.

I do hope you've been enjoying this month's challenge so far. If you've yet to play along please remember our one and only rule - use at least ONE Funky Hand product in your creation - and remember you can get your hands on the fantastic Funky Freebie here! You can find all the other details on how to enter in the challenge launch post written by Lou, here

Amanda will be up next with some more 'January Blues' inspiration for you so please pop back here on 1st February!

Stay Funky!

Very Blue!

It's my turn (Ruth) to hopefully provide some inspiration for the January themed challenge which was set by Lou and it is:

January Blues

You MUST use a Funky Hand product in your creation - there are so many entries each month that fail to follow this rule and if you don't use the Funky Hand product then you won't be eligible for the prize each month.

And to make it even easier, Anice creates a freebie paper each month that fits in with the challenge theme!! To snag the freebie, click HERE.

I've made a word book with papers from Happy Happy Birthday, creating the letters in Word and then layering it up. Some glitter glue around the letters with flowers and gems and various ribbons to hold it all together.

So there you have it!! Remember to use a Funky Hand product in your creation and good luck with the challenge!

Jules does the Blues!

Hi Everyone

Jules here and it is my turn to show you my creation for the challenge
that the lovely Lou launched on Sunday.

Lou called her challenge

.. .. January Blues

so your creation needs to showcase the colour blue

This is my make which features papers from one of Anice's original CD's

My flowers were made with four different sized flower punches .. .. and I gently bent the
petals in half on the three larger flowers to give them a bit of dimension.

I join them all together with a brad but then rather than push the brad through the whole
card I open the brad on the back of the flower and
use a glue gun to attach the flowers to my card .. ..
no worries then about getting the flower centralised
as you have a few moments to move it around (but not many LOL!!!).

I hope you get chance to join in Lou's challenge
.. ..  your project doesn't have to be a card .. .. it can be anything you like.

The only rule is that you use at least one Funky Hand product and if you
don't have any at the moment then the lovely Anice has provided
you with one here.

So what are you waiting for?  Off you go and Get Funky and crafty!!!

Have fun

Love

Thank You!

It's my turn (Jackie) now to wish you all a happy new year and to show my card for our December challenge (it seems a long time ago now!) which is to make a thank you card. There is still time to take part in the challenge but not much as it finishes tomorrow. There is the Funky Freebie paper too if you don't have any Funky Hand products and it's available here
I love this download and it definitely makes for a very quick and simple card.

Make sure you pop to Anice's Blog Funky Hand Thoughts on Saturday morning to see news of our first BLOG HOP of the year to launch not one but two fantastic new downloads created by our wonderful leader. The winner will receive a copy of each download so you don't even have to make a decision as to which one you would like!

See you on Saturday.

Amanda's thankyou

Morning all and welcome to the last few days of this month's Get Funky Challenge. The new challenge starts on the Funky Fifteenth so just a few days left to enter for this months Thankyou Challenge set by the gorgeous Anice.

My card was made using the fabulous funky freebie paper that Anice made for the challenge, it's really a lovely paper to work with, aren't the colours just so lush? The freebie paper is available to download here. The letters were simply cut out and matted onto some white card, and layered with candy pink card and the paper. I've used a pre-cut scalloped card and added just a scrap of ric rac and a cutie bag charm.

Please remember our only rule here at Get Funky is to use at least one Funky Hand item on your creation. You can make whatever you want : cards, scrapbook layouts, gifts, pictures, tags.......literally anything your wee heart desires, and you can enter as many different challenges as you like. Sadly though if your item doesn't have a Funky Hand item on it you won't be entered into the prize draw for the download of your choice (I honestly don't know how you'd choose!! and keep your eyes peeled for a couple of new downloads coming soon)

Hope you can join us before the end of the challenge :o)

Hugs

Amanda :o)

Thank You!

Hello! Jenny here! It's time for me to share my 'Thank You' project with you...

I've used this month's Funky Freebie in two different sizes...

The letters come from the smaller version, which I made by shrinking the freebie in Photoshop and the squares come from the freebie in its original A4 size. I've layered up both with 3d foam. The flower comes from the Shabby Saturday Download

I do hope you've been enjoying this month's challenge and that you've been able to make some useful thank you cards! There have been some fabulous entries so far and if you've not yet joined in you still have time. You can find all the details on how to enter here.

Amanda will be here on the 11th with some more 'Thank You' inspiration for you...so make sure you pop back here then!

Stay Funky!

Ruth and Betty say 'Thank You!'

Happy New Year! It's mine (Ruth) turn to provide some inspiration for the current challenge which is:

Thank You

I got rather carried away with Betty and made 6 of these little beauties and they are little - 90cm square! Only because I have some rather bargain envelopes that I got before Christmas and they fit perfectly inside!

Don't forget that to be eligible for the prize you MUST use at least one Funky Hand product in your creation and if you've not got anything then Anice creates a special download for each challenge that is perfectly themed and you can snag it HERE - so no excuse not to join in!

I've stamped Our Betty (from Your Special Day set) onto some off-cuts of card that matched the card blank (and also the tag) and coloured her with Promarkers and added a little glitter glue to her dress. The tag has been handwritten and I've used ribbon and embroidery thread from my stash. Nice, quick and easy to make!

Good luck with the challenge and please remember to use a Funky Hand product!
