Boho Chic Juice Carton, by Kathy

Hi, it's Kathy today, and I've yet another box to show you!

I wanted to come up with something big enough to fit the "Established 1994" t-shirt I'd bought for the 21st birthday of one of my nephews. I also wanted to make something more interesting than a "flat" box so he wouldn't have a clue what could be inside!
Based on a milk carton style box, but in size more like a juice carton, this one stands 26cms high and the sides all measure about 10cms, so it's quite a chunky beast

I've used "Boho Chic" designs from this month's showcase CD "V. Funky to make my Juice Carton Box. Believe it or not, the main carton only needed 2 sheets of printed card to make.  Each sheet of card makes 2 sides, and by
choosing the horizontal striped design I made lining up the 2 pieces nice and easy (sneaky, eh?)

Materials and Tools
"Boho Chic" from the Funky Hand  CD "V. Funky
the designs were all printed on textured white Bazzill card
EK Success border punch to make decorative panel
For the tag:
More of the paper designs, printed in smaller sizes
Corner Rounder,
Pointed Circle dies and plain circle die (both Spellbinders)
Numerals are felted stick-ons (sorry, I can't remember the make)
Natural raffia

Don't forget, this CD is on offer in the SHOP for just £1 at the moment so don't miss out! Here's a quick look at just some of the designs you'll get on the CD

We'd love to see what you make with Funky Hand goodies too.....
Thanks for visiting today

2 for 1!

Morning all, Tammy here.

Back to share another project for Funky Hand! This month the DT are all using the Funky Daze CD which you can get here for a fabulous price of just £1!

My card today actually ended up as 2!! I started off with a baby themed card in mind but with the other bits of the die cuts that would have been wasted it made perfect sense to make another card! So my first card is this one.

I dug out an old baby vest die, and used papers from the CD. added a small button and pearls and the baby sentiment is also on the disc! Perfect for a new addition!

My second card

As I explained I thought I would use the *other* bits from the die cuts to make a little card. It measures 5x5 inches and works perfectly!

Thats all for now!

Remember to pop back tomorrow to see more fab inspiration from the funky girls!

Using Scraps

I really don't like to throw anything away and have various boxes to keep all my scraps in. However sometimes these boxes become rather unruly and I make it a priority to use something from them! For this card  I used offcuts of card stock for the base - its the long thin strip cut from a sheet of A4 from making a 13.5cm square card - and the embossed panel is a piece of scrap as well as the die cut words.

All the papers are from V Funky - Cottage Linens and I've used my trusty Spellbinders for the circles (long gone are the days when I used to use a compass and hand cut them!) plus some card candy.

Marleen DT - Pocket Letter

Morning everyone.

A post today for
Funky Hand

Today's project is something completly new for me. Ive made a Pocket Letter using the
V. Funky CD.
You can find it in the STORE, HERE

Ive never made a Pocket Letter before. To be honest, untill a few weeks ago, I never even heard of them. But after finding a FB group and matching blog, I had a nosy and decided to try them out and to be honest, I think it was quite fun.

Now Im still not really sure of all the "rules" for making pocket letters and I used a 4 pocket instead of a 9 pocket sleve as that was all I had. But never the less, here it is..

As I said above I only had a 4 pocket sleeve where I think the norm is 9 pocket but I think the idea is that you decorate the pockets on the inside and outside. I think you can add some goodies too but a short letter is the key. The idea is that you then swap your pocket letters with a partner around the world. This Letter is going to Canada to a new friend.

It seem a good way to use up scraps of papers or scrapkits you may have lying round and as the pockets can fold up, and you only add what you wish, postage can be kept down.

Anyway that is all for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Smile and Be Happy!

Hello to you all, it's Sammylou here with a card made using the V Funky cd-rom.

I have used the Emerald View collection to make a card that's perfect for sending when you don't really have an occasion but want to send a card, just because!

The collection comes with ready made toppers so once you've printed the papers you want and cut out the topper, you are all ready to go! Finish with a few punched flowers and you're done,

I love making cards like this and the collections on the cd-rom make it really simple to make some lovely cards, and the variety on the cd-rom, which is only £1.00 at the moment means you can make a multitude of cards without any duplication.

See you all soon for another share, Sammylou xxx

Spring Moments Gift Jar and Banner Card

And now for something a little bit different!  I've had this plastic jar a while and knew it would come in useful at some point!  I've used papers from V Funky - Spring Moments and made a removable cover for the front, a flower tag for the top of the jar and also a banner thank you card.

My eldest son has written the gift tag and I've attached it to the top of the jar with a funky flower and ribbon.  I've also added glass 'confetti' to the flowers on the pattern.

The banner has been made with left over scraps of card and I've used letters from a word book as templates, threaded ribbon through the tops and used glossy accents as glue to the reverse to stop the ribbon from moving.

Spring Morning Gift Bag, by Kathy

Hi, it's Kathy today, and this time I've a gift bag to share with you

I've used  "Spring Morning" designs from this month's showcase CD "V. Funky to make this one, and it's nice and easy because I've used an Xcut die

Materials and Tools
"Spring Morning" from the Funky Hand  CD "V. Funky
the designs were all printed onto "Diamond White" Bazzill card, which has a lovely soft sheen to it (but makes photographing difficult!)
Gift Bag die set (Xcut)
Tab closure is hand cut
EK Success border punch
Tag die (Crafters Companion)
the Flower on the tag is made with this paper:
I printed it in 2 sizes and coloured the petals with 2  colours from the Spring Morning collection, then cut the flowers out by hand
Tiny circle punch (Xcut )
Bakers Twine
I hope you like it - my tip for today is to experiment at printing on different kinds of paper and card - you'll find lots of new ways to use your Funky Hand stash!

Don't forget, this CD is on offer in the SHOP for just £1 at the moment so don't miss out! Here's a quick look at just some of the designs you'll get on the CD

We'd love to see what you make with Funky Hand goodies too.....

Blue For Boys - Dad

Following on from my previous post, I've used the same paper collection on V Funky - Blue For Boys and used the Dad topper this time.  Again, overlaid it with a slightly smaller version (happy accident!) and did a bit of paper distressing!

No-Glue Box by Kathy

Hi, it's Kathy today, and I've another box to show you this time.

I received some cookery ingredients through the post recently - they are cleverly packaged so that the larger box fits through a regular letterbox, and in that box are four smaller ones.
These little, plain kraft-coloured boxes are very cute and tbh, as there's no glue or anything holding these boxes together, they were "crying out" to be unfolded and used as a template for something prettier!

Although the box is made from my "drawn around" template, I've also made sure to save it in my Cameo files so that I can not only use it again, but scale it up or down in size too

I've used "Thyme Blossoms" designs from this month's showcase CD "V. Funky" to make this one - printed on both sides of my sheet of textured white Bazzill card so it's pretty inside as well as out. Here you can see it all unfolded

I made a "belly band"  not only to keep the box closed, but also by cutting out and layering a couple of flowers from one of the paper designs, it's the decoration too

Materials and Tools

Papers: "Thyme Blossoms" from the Funky Hand  V.Funky  CD
the designs were all printed on textured white Bazzill card
EK Success border punch
and then I made a small 10cm square gift card to match, using another cut out flower, some pearls and a piece of Bakers' Twine

Don't forget, this CD is on offer in the SHOP for just £1 at the moment so don't miss out! Here's a quick look at just some of the designs you'll get on the CD

We'd love to see what you make with Funky Hand goodies too.....
