Morning and welcome to my (Amanda) turn to show my project for this months Get Funky challenge, set by the fabulous Boss Lady Anice :)

Anice has made a great sketch for you to follow this months, if you are anything like me a good sketch can help a lot when mr mojo might be having a wee day off or something.  So Anice's sketch was perfect for me.  The paper and images are all from Funky Hand's new cd Wishes and Kisses.  All I added was a bit of ribbon and some flowers and heart gems.

Please remember our only rule here at Get Funky is to use at least one item from Funky Hand.  To make it even easier there is a freebie paper available here and this month's one is a really lovely paper you will be using over and over.  You can make absolutely anything for us here at Get Funky........as long as we can see the sketch in there :)

So onto the sketch

Kathy says "I do"

Hi!
The latest Funky Fifteenth ball was set rolling by Anice a couple of days ago with her "Follow My Sketch" challenge and it's me Kathy here today to be the first to "follow my leader" - do you remember playing that in the school playground?
Before I remind you of the sketch, or show what I've made can I remind you of the one rule we have here on Funky Hand's challenge blog.....
PLEASE USE AT LEAST ONE FUNKY HAND PRODUCT ON YOUR CHALLENGE ENTRY.
What if you want to join in but don't have any Funky Hand Stash atm?  Well, worry not!! There is always a Funky Freebie to get you started and if you enter you could soon be enjoying more of Funky Hand's fab products as you might be this month's winner and get to choose any of the Funky Hand Downloads as your prize.
You'll find this months Funky Freebie on the Funky Hand website www.funkyhand.com
So, you've got the Funky Hand stash ready and now you need the sketch:
I needed to make a Wedding Congratulations card this week, so the perfect excuse to use some of the papers and and image from the wonderful, brand new Funky Hand craft CD Wishes and Kisses.
I've used the "It's the Big Day" paper set - I adore these soft green and salmon pinks.  The paper for the red accents is from the "Thanks a Lot" set.
The "I do" speech bubbles and the cute little love-birds and heart are both from the image set.  I paper-pieced the birds using scraps of my papers
 are also printed
All the papers and images can be found on Funky Hand's brilliant new CD
Other tools and stash I used:
Brown Bazzill cardstock,  Red Stickles, Fancy heart buttons
Craft Robo to cut the "congratulations"sentiment,
Large circle punch, Large Heart Punch, Tiny heart punch
I had some bits over (as you do) so I've got another "bonus project" to share - this time it's a gift tag - you can tell that because as you can see - it's a tag - with the word "gift" on it! haha
I'd cut the tag shape and covered it with the pinky-brown paper and even the square for the middle and was trying to work out how to work in the other shapes on the sketch when the Inspiration Fairy said: "why don't you make those square and rectangle elements into parcels?" ta-dah!!!
Materials and Tools:
All papers and card as before,
Lid for large parcel, red ribbon and bow, smaller rectangular gift all hand cut
"gift" word is Robo cut
Red and Green Stickles, Glossy Accents,
Green Seam Binding, Card Candy,
Tonic flower punch

Well, I hope my projects using Anice's fun sketch have inspired you to join in with us this month  You have till 14th July to get your entry linked up.  The Funky Freebie is available to download during all of that time - you can use that or any other Funky Hand stash you have on your project, and maybe you'll be winning some more if you are lucky!
Every couple of days another of the Funky Hand Gang comes along to show what they have made for the challenge so please pop back often to catch up with all the ideas we've been having and we're looking forward to seeing what you make too.  But don't forget
YOU NEED TO USE AT LEAST ONE FUNKY HAND PRODUCT ON YOUR CHALLENGE ENTRY

Happy Crafting!

New Challenge - Follow My Sketch

Thank you to Ruth for her great challenge for last month and congratulations to the winner!

Now it's time for you to join me, Anice, for this months Get Funky Challenge.  I thought I would give you a sketch to follow this month.  You can turn it around if you want to, as long as we can see the basic sketch on your work it will be fine.  Also the one other little tiny rule on the Get Funky Challenge Blog is PLEASE USE AT LEAST ONE FUNKY HAND PRODUCT ON YOUR CHALLENGE ENTRY. I make this really easy every month by giving you a Funky Freebie on my website www.funkyhand.com which is a free download backing paper that you can use if you don't have any other Funky Hand products.

Right, here is the sketch for this month..

and here is the scrapbook page that I created using it to give you a little inspiration..

On this 12" x12" scrapbook page I have used this months Funky Freebie paper which matches perfectly with the Hey There Baby collection on my latest release craft CD Wishes and Kisses.

The story behind this scrap page is that a few weekends ago Ian and I went up the Northumberland coast to a nice little place called Craster with our dog Travis and went for a walk..it took us through fields full of sheep, fields full of cows and fields full of crops! I'm a city girl.. I can say I didn't find this walk completely easy!!  Then suddenly we turned a corner and there was the sea. It was beautiful.  Travis had never seen the sea before and I took this great picture on my phone of Ian and Travis taking a look at it together.

Well, I hope that my scrapbook page has inspired you to get involved with the challenge this month.  It runs from today 15th June until 14th July.  The Funky Freebie is available to download during all of that time.  Each of the fab Funky Hand Design Team will be posting their takes on my sketch during the month so call back every few days and see the great makes that they create.  Be inspired and then join in. The winner of the challenge will get to choose one of the Funky hand download collections available. You just have to post your creation on your blog and then use Mr Linky below so we can all pop over and tell you how great your make is!

Enjoy this months crafting
Anice xx

Love,spots & flowers..

Hello everyone, Anice here.  It's my turn to offer you a little inspiration to join in with this months Get Funky Challenge set by Ruth.  Ruths challenge is Polka Dots & Flowers.  There is just one rule here on the Get Funky challenge blog and that's that you must use at least one Funky Hand product on your challenge entry.  To make it really easy for you, if you don't have any Funky Hand papers or other products yet, I put a Funky Freebie backing paper download on my website www.funkyhand.com every month.  This challenge ends on the 14th so you still have plenty of time to enter and grab this months freebie.

So, on to my card for this month.  I've mixed up a few Funky Hand backing papers, digital stamps and templates..I'll tell you later what they are firstly have a look at what I made..

The polka dot backing paper is from my Papercraft Factory CD ROM Colour Me Happy, it's from the Blissfull Baby Collection. The papers I used for making the flowers are from the same CD and collection so they matched nicely.  The digital stamp of the diamond ring and the LOVE sentiment are both from my newly released craft CD ROM Wishes & Kisses.  The template to make the flowers can also be found on the Wishes & Kisses CD.

I used the coloured digital stamp of the ring and then added diamond stickles to the stone to give it a little sparkle.  I decided to resize the Love sentiment to fit inside the ring rather than have it underneath it, which is very easy to do in the workspace of all the Papercraft Factory CD ROMS.  If you'd like to see how the workspace works take a look on my website www.funkyhand.com and watch any of the videos that Ian has recorded showing you what each CD contains and can do! Find them on each Papercraft Factory page.

You may wonder how I used papers from the Colour Me Happy CD with a template you can find on the Wishes & Kisses CD.  Well, it's really easy.

  •   If you have more than one Funky Hand Papercraft Factory CD loaded on your PC, go to the one     with the paper you want to use, send it to the workspace on that CD.
  •  Then click the change editions button.
  •  Choose the CD with the template that you want to use on from the drop down list and go to that CD.
  •  Then open the workspace in that CD.
  •  You will find the backing paper from the other CD you loaded in there so, you can pull the template over and use it with the other CDs paper.
A nice little trick that really expands the use of the CDs together.

Right back to the card!  To finish off the card I did a little doodling with a black Sakura Glaze pen around the main backing paper and the ring topper.

So, there you go that's my card for this month.  You have until the 14th to join in with us and have the chance of winning a Funky Hand download of your choice. I look forward to seeing what you create.

Anice xx
