June Inpsiration, DT Marleen x

Hi everyone..

Its my turn to share some inspiration here on the blog.

For this card Ive used the papers called "Salt & Pepper"
As well as the butterfly stamp called "Flutterby Flowers"

Here is what I have made:

For this card I simply printed my papers and image.
I covered the card blank with my backing paper and stiched around the edges.

My butterfly was cut out, coloured with distress ink and covered with 2 layers of clear embossing powder. Then simply added to my card and made the "tail" with card candi and pearls.
Finished by andding the greeting and voila..

For all your Funky Hand needs, DO pop to the STORE.. There are so many amazing papers and fantastic digi stamps..

And that is it from me for today..
Thank you for stopping by and for any comments left behind.

New downloads on the block!

Hi everyone Anice here,

Just a quick drop by today to let you see the three new downloads that are new to www.funkyhand.com
First up there are two new Coffee Takeaway digital stamps,

Thanks A Latte is perfect for sending Thank You messages in a fun way. Do you have a friend that needs a thank you?
Just someone is unwell doesn't mean that they wouldn't want a fun message to make them feel better.  This Full Of Beans digital stamp would definitely do that.

A new backing paper collection always starts with an idea but this collection started for one things and ended up completely different!  With the dark colours and slightly grungy look Wash It All Away is perfect for male cards, something we are always lacking!

Here's a card that I made using the Wash It All Away papers, it's not perfect, I'm not happy with the writing on the clip board but I thought I would share it with you anyway.

I'll be back with some really good creations using these new releases from the Funky Hand Design Team in the near future!

OK, that's it from me today, I hope you have enjoyed seeing the new downloads.

Before I go, did you know that we have a new Facebook group called Funky Hand Crafting?  Come over and join in. It is a new group so there aren't many groupies yet.  We have a competition on that once we have 100 members I will give away a complete set of Papercraft Factory CDs to one member.  Join in, share your Funky Hand stuff, chat with me and the DT.  We would love to meet you over there.

Love and stuff,
Anice xx

A Little Bit of Sepia

Have you seen the Memories In Sepia download in the Funky Hand shop? It's a great download with plenty of papers to choose from but my particular favourites are the scrip papers - I've used one in my card below.

I've used various punches and dies to create the fancy border and rolled flowers. I've also added some half pearls to the middle of the flowers and set it all off with some hot pink satin ribbon!

There are lots more downloads in the store!

Happy Fathers Day to 50% of the world!

Now, don't quote me on my figures in the title of this post..I completely made up 50% of the world are men. If I could be bothered I could Google the information but that isn't why I'm here today.

I want to show you the Fathers Day cards I made for the Fathers requiring cards from my house!

These are the cards I created for my Dad and Ians Dad.  I created the toppers myself using Photoshop.  The idea for the 'Established' years came from a T'Shirt that I saw on Pinterest.

Here's bit of a closer look at the card for Ians Dad.  The papers that I have used are from the Funky Hand backing paper collection, Boys Will Be Boys.

I decided to keep them very plain for two reasons, they are mens cards so, no opportunity for pretties to be added and second they both had to go in the post.

I always feel that just adding a few doodle lines on the papers on a mans card can really liven them up and also give them a contemporary feel. Which is my style of card making no matter how I try to branch out!

So, there you go.  My Fathers Day cards for this year.  Talking of years..yes I was born in the 60's, yes I am that old!

Speak again soon,
Anice xx

Funky New Home card

Morning lovely crafters,

It's Debbie here and it's my turn to share some Funkyhand loveliness with you all. Now as you all know our crafting style changes over time and papercrafting is so versatile that we don't always have to include a digital stamp/rubber stamp as our focal point on a card. Even though Anice's digital stamps are second to none.

We can create some great card designs using our papers and what would be better than Funkyhand papers. Us funkettes are biased of course. For my card I've used 1 die, to cut out a frame and the rest was cut with scissors or my gullotine.

I used the recent download:Fading Beauty

Why not make something to share with us either here or add a pic on our Facebook page. It can be using this download or any Funkyhand product.

Thanks for popping by.
