Funky Daze- Just Thursday

This month we are all working with the wonderful Funky Daze cd - the papers I used are from the Just Thursday collection
I forgot I had this die, it was hidden away and neglected in the back of a cupboard and I think this spotty paper makes a lovely jacket, in fact I want one just like it !
Each month when we showcase a CD you can but for a  £1, so go and grab your bargain

6-Teen

I do like making wordbooks and what better than to use the Funky Daze cd! If you've not made wordbooks before and just want to try to see if you like, then Funky Daze is the cd for you! There are two wordbook sections and this is the male one.

They are really easy to make - just print the letters you want (I've added the number by using one of my own templates) and then if you wish, print a contrasting paper on the reverse.  Easy peasy!  I've edged each letter with a Promarker and then gone over the top with glossy accents.

The stars are cut with an X Cut die and I've popped them up with tiny foam pads and then covered with glossy accents.

Funky Daze Treats

Hi, it's Kathy here, wishing you a Happy Easter with a cute little treat box -such a shame you can't share the contents.....but I will share the recipe :)

As you're probably aware, we're all showcasing the papers from the Funky Daze CD this month, and what a lot you get on this CD!  It usually costs a pretty meagre £3.99, but get this.....buy it during April and
you can have it for just £1....Bargain, eh?

Anyway, on to my offering for today, a little "takeout" style treat box using some of the papers from the "Tues Me" section of the Funky Daze CD

Materials and Tools

Papers: "Tues Me" from the Funky Hand  Funky Daze CD
Takeout box template (own), cut on Silhouette Cameo
hand-cut fishtail banner
Tiny tag die (Crafters Companion)
Flower punch (Tonic)
Medium circle punch (Woodware)
Seam Binding for closure

Slow Cooker Chocolate Fudge Recipe:
1 tin Condensed Milk
50g butter
400g chocolate chips or broken up chocolate - milk, white, plain or a mixture!

Switch the Slow Cooker to HIGH, put all the ingredients in
Leave the lid OFF
Cook for about 1 hour, stirring every 10 mins or so

Line a baking tin (something like a swiss roll tin) with Baking parchment, at the end of the cooking time, spoon or pour the mixture into the prepared tin.  You can add extras (dried fruit, nuts, cranberries etc) at this time if you like

Leave to cool, then pop into the fridge overnight.
Turn out onto a board and cut into pieces

I used oval doily die cuts cut from baking parchment to prettify the inside of my boxes and to separate the layers of fudge

Don't forget, this CD is on offer in the SHOP for just £1 at the moment so don't miss out! Here's a quick look at just some of the designs you'll get on the CD

We'd love to see what you make with Funky Hand goodies  too.....
Thanks for visiting today

Baby feets....

Hi everyone!!

It's Lou back with another make for Funky Daze month using the Funky Daze original CD ROM. This CD is actually one of my first ever buys from Funky Hand all those years ago! I am so proud to of been on the Funky Hand design team for a number of years now, Anice's papers just rock.

I used my trusty silhouette to cut out the teeny feet for the card in the scraps of paper from my make I shared on yesterday. I love that blue and brown colour combo (... and its always really handy that all the papers in each colourway match up for use as it stops my brain hurting!! lol!!) a few white gel pen dots on the Baby word and a bit of ink around the edges and it was done!!

So, whats on the CD you ask?? From the cool blues and greens of Monday Morning to the vibrant pink and black of Saturday shopping you are sure to find a collection of backing papers that will be perfect for your next craft project, papers and wordbooks all ready for you to print and go!!!
