Have a spotty stripey Birthday!

Hello Get Funky followers it's Anice here and it's my turn to offer you a little inspiration for our craft challenge this month which of course is Spots and Stripes

I decided to make a birthday card which is pretty simple but I think with those old favourites dots and stripes has turned out bright and fun!

I've used a green polka dot paper from the Rainbow Polka Dot Download collection for the base card.

I like to print the whole base card with the patterned paper so that the card is patterned on the back as well.  The best way to do this is when you print the base card is to set your printer to print without borders.  That way it will print on the whole of your card without any cutting of white spaces for you!! Have a good look around on your printer preferences when you are printing and you will find it there somewhere!

The stripey borders where created using this months Get Funky! Freebie Download backing paper availablle on my website www.funkyhand.com  but you had best be quick as the freebie will only be available until the 14th of May as a new challenge will start on the 15th and there will be a new freebie download paper there then. So don't miss out.

The birthday cake digital stamp is taken from my latest craft CD release Craft The Year Away. I was lazy and printed the pre coloured version but you crafty colourers out there will be pleased to hear that there is also a black outlined version available on there as well so, you can colour it any way you like and with what you like. Then I just added some satin ribbon to the image using ribbon from the Funky Hand ribbon collection April Fool and buttons from the Funky Hand button collections November Rain and Come What May. Of course I inked around the edges of everything as I always do with a black ink pad.

Well. that's my contribution for this month done.  I hope you have been able to take a look at all the wonderful creations that have come before this post from my fabby Design Team members and that you have been inspired to try out some of their creations. We'd love to see what you have made so please join in with this months challenge..there is still a few days left to enter and have a chance of winning a free Funky Hand download collection as a prize.

All you need to do is follow the challenge set and include at least one Funky Hand paper or product in your creation..and as I am offering you a free stripey backing paper this month to download there really isn't anything to stop you now is there?!!

Enjoy your crafting, and call back in a couple of days to see the last of this months DT inspiration posts.
