Hi Everyone
I hope you are all well and looking forward to the weekend. Sadly it is only a "two day" one this time round!!! We have been rather spoilt with all the long weekends recently haven't we!!
So, Jules here with my Funky make for the
"SPOTS AND STRIPES"
theme that our lovely hostess Debs set for us.
All of the Funkettes have had a wonderful time with this theme as I am sure you have been able to tell from all the lovely creations that have been posted here for you. I think that nearly all of the CD's and downloads Anice has created have some spots and stripes - so lots of choice.
Anice also produced another wonderful freebie paper which you can use. It is on the sidebar ready and waiting for you.
I didn't use the free paper this time .. .. my papers came from one of Anice's original CD's
not that I needed much paper LOL!!!
Here is what I created
and I thought you might like a little tutorial as to how I made it as they are great little things for raising funds at summer fayres or for just adding into a birthday card as a "little something extra".
HERE WE GO - GET READY FOR PHOTO OVERLOAD !!!!!
START BY CUTTING A 4" SQUARE |
ON THE BACK OF YOUR SQUARE MARK THE HALFWAY POINT DOWN BOTH SIDES AND ACROSS THE TOP OF YOUR 4" SQUARE |
CREASE FROM THE TOP CENTRE POINT DOWN TO THE 2" POINT ON BOTH SIDES |
NEXT CUT A 2.5" SQUARE |
CUT THIS SQUARE IN HALF DIAGONALLY |
STICK ONE OF THE TRIANGLES OVER THE TWO CORNERS YOU FOLDED DOWN ON THE LARGE SQUARE. MAKE SURE YOU CAN STILL GET YOUR FINGERS INSIDE - OTHERWISE IT WON'T SLIDE OVER YOUR BOOK PAGE So that is your basic book mark finished - how easy was that? It is now yours to decorate as you wish. For mine I stuck the left over spotted triangle on the front and used a paper punch to decorate the bottom edge. Then for my lovely little elephants and wording I used the "COLOUR ME HAPPY" PAPERCRAFT FACTORY re-sizing the cute little elephants and letters to fit and cutting then out with dies and a Cuttlebug So, that is me this time round. I hope you enjoyed my little tutorial and if you decide to try and make one then why not use the free paper Anice has provided and enter it into the challenge. We would all love to see what you create and you might win a download of your choice if your entry is chosen by Debs as her winner!! Lots more inspiration to follow from my lovely Funky teamies so be sure to come back. Please link below if you want to play along with us .. .. but remember there must be a Funky Hand product on your creation somewhere. Love Jules xx |

This is such a fab idea. Thanks for sharing with us how you made it. If I get time I'm definately going to make a few of these as I'm always reading a couple of books at the same time and losing my page!!
