Hello and a big welcome to our brand new, all shiny and fresh, Funky Hand Design Team Challenge Blog, Get Funky! I hope that you will join in the fun with us and make our first monthly challenge a big success!
First of all I thought I would run over the very simple rules for you..each month one of the Design Team members will be setting you a challenge to get your crafty juices flowing, it will be launched on the 1st of each month and you then have the whole month to join in. All you need to do to be able to have the chance of winning our £20.00 gift voucher prize is to include at least one Funky Hand paper or extra in your design. Enough of the rules lets get on to the fun part, the challenge for this month..
I volunteered to take the first month and as I love following sketches..that's what I decided to start you off with...
You can move the sketch elements about a bit, as long as we can still see the general idea of the sketch that will be just fine with us!
Here's what the Funky Hand Design Team came up with..
I used the Funky Freebie papers for my card.
Allison turned the sketch on it's head for her card, she used papers from the Now that's Funky CD.
Dolly decided not to make a card and created this great Sketch book using papers from the Funky Daze CD
Enfys was very creative and hand cut the funky flowers she included on this card, she used papers from the Funky Daze CD
Kath created this fab card with her usual style and flair using papers from the Shabby Saturday Download Collection.
Lythan joined me in using papers from the Funky Freebie collection for her creation but she did a better job than me..
Ruth has ventured way back into the Funky Hand past for her card these papers are from my first release The Funky One CD
Carols lovely scrummy cake card was created using papers from the Funky Daze CD
Now you've seen what we have been able to come up with..we can't wait to see your creations. All you need to do is post your creation on your blog and leave us a link here in the comments so we can come over and see what you have made. So what are you waiting for? GET FUNKY!

I love challenges, but I have two questions: Is this challenge only for making things with the special paper you all use? And doesn't it take a lot of inkt to print the beautiful free papers?
ReplyDeleteYes, Bianca you do need to use at least one Funky Hand paper or extra on your creation to join in with the challenge. Printing the papers takes a bit of ink of course but the results are usually worth it as you can see from the Design Team card entries. Why not try downloading the Funky Freebie and trying it out for yourself. If printing them uses more ink than you'd like then at least getting the papers hasn't cost you any pennys!
