Get Funky Challenge - April

A brand new month and a brand new challenge here on "Get Funky!" the challenge blog for all the fab Funky Hand goodies. First though, a great big THANK YOU to all who joined in with Dolly's "Girls, Girls. Girls" challenge last month - how much fun was that theme, then? What a great excuse to get good and girlie!

It's Kathy here this time and it's my very first time setting the challenge, so please be kind to me! Our theme is
April Showers
Any project you like - could be cards, books, Scrapbook pages.... whatever, it all counts as long as there's a rainy theme. The other thing to remember is that your project will only be eligible for the prize if you use at least one Funky Hand product - there are LOADS of papers and extras to choose from so that bit won't be difficult! Click HERE for a quick link to the Funky Hand website ;-).

Here's how to be in with a chance of winning this month's £20.00 voucher to spend at Funky Hand::
1. Add your April Showers project to your blog,
2. Don't forget to say which Funky Hand product(s) you've used,
3. Come back before midnight April 30th (UK time) and leave a message with a link so that we can see what you've made.

Our fabulous DT have made these Rainy Day cards to help get you thinking

First up here's Allison's card - look at all those fab flower digi images from the Dreams Come True CD all in a row. Aren't they gorgeous?  All the papers and lettering is from DCT too!
Jules has used images and papers from the V. Funky! (CD) I love the raindrops on this card, and the cluster of flowers is wonderful.
If only "real" clouds were as pretty as those on Lythan's card, eh? These papers are from Retro Fun which is the brand new download released just this week. We're all loving this set - the colours and designs are such fun to use
Kath has used some of the "Blue Magic" set of designs from Dreams Come True (CD) to make this card - see those flowers? They're cut out from one of the paper designs - aren't they cute?
I wish my "real" brolly was as cheerful as the umbrella on Dolly's card! What a lovely idea for a Get Well Soon card. These paper designs are from the Now that's Funky (CD)

Just look at these funky wellies Enfys has made with her Cricut and some more of the Dreams Come True papers - and don't you just love that sentiment?
Another pair of Wonderful Wellies, this time from Ruth, who's used papers printed from the Funky Daze CD to make this fab card, great for a gardener with all that rustic twine!
And that leaves me, Kathy, to bring up the rear (so to speak!) I've used paper designs from the Dreams Come True CD  - it's bright, busy and brash, but hey, you can't say it's not cheerful!

So there you go, I hope you've enjoyed seeing what we've made this month and that you're itching to get started on your own project - we can't wait to see what you Get Funky with this time - just remember the 1.2.3. rules above to be in with a chance of winning that £20 Funky Hand spending spree!

Get Funky Challenge February

Here we are with another new months challenge, thank you to everyone who joined in with Lythans challenge last month we had some fab entries.

Now it's my turn again and as it's the month of love (Valentines day just incase you thought I was going a bit balmy!!) I thought my challenge this month would be completely open it's just... I love Crafting! Which I know you all do, so you can create anything you like and as long as it has at least one Funky Hand paper or extra included on it you can be up for the £20.00 prize voucher..now lets have a look at the lovely samples the Design Team have come up with to get you in the mood for a bit of crafting love!

First up we have a beautiful card from Kath, made using our newest craft CD release Dreams Come True.

Allison has also gone with a love theme with this super heart decoration, using Dreams Come True as well.

Now, I said you could make whatever you liked so Ruth has made these amazing flowers with papers from the Dreams Come True CD

Kathy also went way from card making for her contribution this month and made this wonderful memo pad. She also used the Dreams Come True CD for this creation.
Jules we are discovering is an old softy and she made this beautiful love wordbook for her husband..there are loads of other pages and they prove that she's really lovely dovey..which I think it just great. The wordbook was made using the word book generator on the Dreams Come True CD.
As soon as I saw Dollys entry I just fell in love..this word book is also made with the Dreams Come True and the attention to detail is just amazing..I love it!
Lythan used her considerable craft talent and Dreams Come True papers to make an acetate card

For our last example I'm being a bit naughty.. Corrina is my new office manager in Teapot Studios and she 'doesn't craft' until she got too close to all my stash!! She created this wonderful word book for her friend who has had a beautiful baby girl this week..as I helped her a bit with it I'm including it as a combined effort from both of us. The word book is made from the generator on the Dreams Come True CD..and I'm very proud of Corrinas start on the crafting journey!

So there you go..if you love crafting get making and posting them on your blogs..we are really looking forward to seeing what wonderful creations you will come up with this month.
Anice xx

Get Funky Challenge -January

Happy New Year everyone!

It's Lythan here and its my turn to set the challenge- the first of 2010. So I'm going to ease you in gently with a challenge that should be fun- and of course funky.
You can make ANYTHING you like as long as it uses something by Funky Hand and includes
SPOTS AND STRIPES on it

Now that should be easy because Anice shares my love of spots and stripes and they feature in every collection. It is a fab excuse to go back through your cd's and downloads and rediscover all the wonderful designs there. But you will see that some of the design team are also showcasing new papers from the soon to be released Dreams Come True CD which is a little bit different and absolutely wonderful!

As usual you have a whole month to complete the challenge and all you have to do to enter is use at least one Funky Hand product and leave a link here to your creation so we can come and visit you and you could be the winner of a £20 Funky Hand voucher to spend on Funky Hand products....like that new CD for example!

And to get you started here is some amazing inspiration to share with you all from our Get Funky Design Team

Allison has made some wonderful calendars using Now That's Funky
These are such a great idea for a New Year gift with so many gorgeous details on them. I love the stitching and the hand cut leaf stems

Kathy's card is soft and pretty. She has such a great eye for design and placementKathy used the Paper Blossom download. I really like the layered greeting in the bottom corner

Anice shows us that spots and stripes are great for a more masculine feel too
These are some of the new Dreams Come True papers. By printing on both sides of the paper Anice has given her card a really professional edge. So classy!

Jules card features some wonderful hand made flowers and showcases the Funky Daze CD
The strong geometric shapes of the card design set off those intricate flowers so well.

Kath has more of Dreams Come True to reveal
Isn't that big bold design just superb? And inking and doodling are the perfect finishing touches. There is something special on this card too...

Ruth is brilliant at making crafty items like this amazing bag
There are loads of spots and stripes on this bag but because all the papers are from one Dreams Come True colour palette they don't overwhelm. The double sided paper ribbon gives wonderful dimension to the flower

Enfys' card is a real tweet! Again it features something special and new on the CD. Have you worked it out yet?
Aren't those button berries just wonderful?I love the way the background spots and stripes peek through the branches of the hand cut tree.

And then there's my card

This uses Dreams Come True as well. And I've got something special on my card as well. Can you work out what is new to the CD?
Yes, Kath,Enfys and I have used the new Funky Hand digi stamps. How cool is it that there was a spotty cup and tea pot? You can do all sorts with the stamps so look out for more design team examples in the weeks to come.

I can't wait to see your spotty and stripey creations so let your imagination fly. Have Fun and get Funky!
