Marleen DT - Sneak peak of new image

Hi everyone..

Its time for my monthly inspiration post for

Today I have a sneak preview of a new image to show you.
She is called "Rainy day Georgie" and you can find her in the STORE very soon..

Ive used the papers from the Rainbow stripy download as well as the Rainbow polkadots downlaod.

Here is what Ive made:

To make this card, Ive mattet and layered my papers. I then printed out Georgie and coloured with promarkers. After colouring, I covered the image with doublesided sticky sheet and dipped the image into a big tub of micro glass beads. I finished with a sentiment and a brad.

And that is all from me for today.
Thank you for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Marleen DT - Georgie Love Banner.

Hi guys..

Its my turn to share some inspiration

For this month I have had a play with "Georgie Love Banner" digi stamp and the
"I heart you" digital papers.

This card is very simply. I covered my card blank with a sheet form the "I heart you" papers. Then die cut my house and added on top. I Printed my greeting, also form the "I heart you" collection, as well as my "Georgie love banner" image, whick I coloured with promarkers.
Borh added to my card with a spot of pinflair. Last I added the bow, and voila.. Done..

A very simple card, but I think it came out really well.
And that is all from me for this time.
Thank you for stopping by and for any comments left behind.

Fancy a bit of sepia paper to craft with? Look no further!

Hello everyone, Anice here,

I hope you all had a great Easter break and were not too busy with eating chocolate eggs to grab a bit of crafting time.  I mean it is something you can do at the same time if you are careful!  It was busy for me, we decided that the hall stairs and landings in our three storey house needed painting and Easter would be a good time to do it.. what a hard job.  It's never getting done again as far as I'm concerned!

Right, the reason I wanted to talk to you today was because I have a new backing paper collection on the Funky Hand website ready to be downloaded.  This one is a little different than normal..it's not bright colours, it's sepia! Take a look..

Memories in Sepia is priced at only £2.99 and it has proved very popular with the Funky Hand Design Team, they have created some fantastic cards and scrapbook pages.  Here's a few to get you started,

And here is one from me..don't faint I do craft sometimes!

If you are wondering who the little girl on my card is that's Georgie 'Love Banner' she's a new digital stamp and you can find her on the Funky Hand website today as well.

So, there are a few creations with the new Memories In Sepia backing paper collection.  Go to the Funky Hand website and see LOTS more examples from my wonderful DT in the gallery, then pop it in your basket and get crafting.

We would all love to see what you make using Memories In Sepia so why not visit the Funky Hand Facebook page and put a photo of your creations there so we can all take a look and send you some love.

See you over there.

Layering a Funky Hand digital stamp.

Hi everyone, Anice here.  It's my last post on the Get Funky and Craft Blog..for 2013.  How is your December going, all ready for Christmas Day yet?  I'm not, but what's new with that!

Today I thought that I would share my idea for layering one of the Georgie digital stamps 'Georgie Angel' Now, for this post I messed around with the stamp and created a GSD to cut out the image with my cutting machine.  You don't have to have a cutting machine.  You could just print out the digital stamp image four times and just cut the parts that you want to layer out.

Please remember: Not all digital stamp designers would be happy with you doing this sort of thing so you must remember to check all terms and conditions linked with each stamp.  If it is not mentioned there, doesn't mean it's OK to do.  Always ask.

Right, here is what I started out with for this project,

I decided that I wanted to layer her face, the upper part of her body and her hands holding the heart.

I coloured the images in with Promarkers before I cut them out.  Colouring small parts of images when they are already cut out is really hard in my opinion but if you prefer to cut out first please go ahead.

Sorry, that was the perfect opportunity to show off my Promarker collection to you. To say I'm a bit obsessed with them is a little bit of an understatement!

Before I go on, if you have a few Promarkers you might like to grab this really helpful free download from Sarah Hurley.

It's a fab layout of all the names of the currently available Promarkers (including Limited Editions) with circles to add the pen colour to. Print the download onto the same paper/card that you use for colouring your digital stamps and colour in each of your markers. It will then give you a true coloured effect.  Sarah has laid them out in a really helpful order.  Grab the free download from her website  http://www.sarahhurleydesigns.co.uk/oldshop/prod_2834920-Promarker-Colour-Charts-Updated-for-Winter-2013.html  Please don't just share this freebie with your friends send them over to Sarahs website to grab their own copy.

Here is Georgie all coloured in.  If you want more details about the colours I used then pop over to my personal blog Funky Hand Thoughts for more information.

I decided to colour in each section of the image as I wanted no white bits showing under the layered stamp, but also, because it was an opportunity to practice the colouring, as the lower levels of the face, upper body and heart wouldn't be in clear view!

Here's the finished card I made with the digital stamp.  And here is a closer look at the layering..

I used 1mm foam pads to layer the head and upper body and 3mm foam pads for the heart.  I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out.

If you have purchased the Georgie Angel digital stamp and would like the GSD I used in this post, send me a message through the Funky Hand website Contact Us page and I will email it to you for free.

So, I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and you receive any crafting stash that you have asked Santa for.  I'm crossing my fingers that he will have some of the Promarkers that I have missing from my collection in his sack for me.  I've been a very good girl all year..well most of the time.  Hehe!
