Hi everyone, Anice here,
I thought I'd pop by today to give you just a little look at a couple of the Funky Hand new releases that will be available on our website www.funkyhand.com this coming weekend.
I'm really excited to be able to introduce you to my first 'cute' girl digital stamp character Georgie. I've been a little naughty showing you this little peek as this is a card I made for Creative Cardmaking with Your PC magazine. (oops!) It wont be for sale until December so I'd best not show you any more or I'll have my hand slapped!
I just wanted to give you a little look..and for you to get the feel for the new backing paper collection also being released on Saturday. Little Princess. This collection fits perfectly with Georgie as she has turned out to be a bit of a 'Princess' already hehe!
Right that is your little look. I'll be back at the weekend to offer you some inspiration as it's my turn to post here.. I'd best get my thinking cap on and come up with something good!
Speak again very soon,
Anice xx

Silent Night Gift Box
Hello,
it's Kathy here to share a little box made with papers from the "Silent Night" collection - one of two wonderful Funky Hand Christmas sets for this year.
Silent Night is a beautiful paper set of warm and subtle traditional colours and the funky edge you've come to expect from Anice's designs
This box was made in the same way as a heart shaped one I made earlier in the year. It's much simpler than it looks as all you need are some Funky Hand designs printed on both sides of some Bazzill or other card of similar weight, some Spellbinders dies and some thicker card - such as an old cereal box.
A peek inside shows why I print on both sides of the card
All Papers: Silent Night by Funky Hand
Next time I'm here I'll post a little tutorial on how to make the box.
Of course the most fun bit is decorating it and I've used the soft creamy coloured design from "Silent Night" to cut a whole load of different snowflake shapes, added some glitter and layered them up on top of the box. Adding some cream organza ribbon and some gold and red berries finishes this festive gift box.
I hope you like it
Don't forget to link up your Funky Hand creation with the linky below - we'd love to come and visit you!
See you soon.
Happy Crafting

A sneak peek of something Christmassy!
I know that I shouldn't be so naughty and the new Christmas downloads and digital stamps are going to be released next weekend but, I couldn't resist giving you a little peak..
There are two backing paper collections this year and matching wordbooks. There will also be four new digital stamps.
Join us here next Saturday (7th September) for Blog Hop to begin the launch of them. Make sure you don't forget as there will be a chance to win a great crafty prize.
We always love to see what you have been making. If you have used any of the Funky Hand Christmas downloads from previous years or created with the CDs Yule Be Funky or Twelve Crafters Crafting why not add some images to the linky below so we can all see them. You could also add them to the Funky Hand Facebook page. If you are unsure of how to attach pictures, no problem send them on an email to contact@funkyhand(dot)com and we will put them up for you.

Thank You!
It's my turn (Jackie) now to wish you all a happy new year and to show my card for our December challenge (it seems a long time ago now!) which is to make a thank you card. There is still time to take part in the challenge but not much as it finishes tomorrow. There is the Funky Freebie paper too if you don't have any Funky Hand products and it's available here
I love this download and it definitely makes for a very quick and simple card.
Make sure you pop to Anice's Blog Funky Hand Thoughts on Saturday morning to see news of our first BLOG HOP of the year to launch not one but two fantastic new downloads created by our wonderful leader. The winner will receive a copy of each download so you don't even have to make a decision as to which one you would like!
See you on Saturday.

Show Us Your Heart - Paula's Offering!
Hello funky fans, friends, followers
Right - own up... who stole February? Where did it go? I blinked and it was gone - and unfortunately, most of it was spent being nurse maid to my very poorly 14 year old who had blood test after blood test then ended up with a bad bout of Tonsillitis. Thank goodness, all is well now and he's back at school.
Anyway, thank you so much for stopping by to visit the blog and check out what the DT have been offering you over the last couple of weeks since Jules set us the challenge of showing our hearts.
I hope you agree with me that the DT cards have been inspirational up to now - lets hope mine makes the mark and is equally inspiring - enough for you to create something and enter it into the challenge.
Remember though, if you wish to take part in the Funky Hand Challenge - all we ask is that you use AT LEAST ONE Funky Hand paper in your design. If you are struggling to do that, Anice (Head Honcho at FH) has designed a FREE paper especially - HERE. While you are there - take a look at the fabulous collections that FH have to offer you. If you start to collect the design collections, you can build up a little library of all sorts of colours and designs and you really won't ever be stuck for a paper in your future papercrafting projects.
That's me been rambling on enough, so without further ado, here is me showing you my heart.
I decided to do a little 'hangy' type project and used the download collection recently launched called 'LOVE LOVE LOVE'. You can find the collection by clicking here.
I basically cut 6 larger hearts using scalloped nestibility hearts, then 3 smaller ones from the regular heart nesties. I then cut the characters from the same collection too. Secure the ribbon on the back of one of the large heart shapes, then make a sandwhich by placing another on the top - design side up. Repeat this as many times as you have pieces in your hanger remembering to secure the bottom 'hanging ribbon' between the top of the next heart shape (or whatever shape you are making) - then just mat and layer each one. Its much easier than it looks - the key is preparation. Cut all your elements out first, then cut all your ribbon and basically construct in a little 'production line' style! Easy Peasy! Hope you like!
The collection is fabulous if you want to get away from the usual 'mushy stuff' that's synonimous with love and valentines day!. Its very bold, bright, and best of all, can be masculine as well as feminine. It's really useable so go check it out.
I gave this to my Mum, just to remind her everyday that I love her - not that she doesn't know that already! She loved it and said she was going to hang it up in her lounge.
There are still some projects to be shown to you from the DT - so remember to come back and check out. If my memory serves me right - Jenny is scheduled to offer you her design on the 5th. In fact there will be offerings right up until we change the challenge theme on the Funky Fifteenth so be sure to come back and check it all out.
Thanks again for sticking with me and reading down to this bit! Good luck with the challenge (just remember that ONE Funky Hand element required to enter) and click the link below to enter your project.
