FLASH SALE:All Funky Hand CDs £1.00 each.
Hello all!
Anice here. I headed into the stockroom yesterday and started a 'good old' clean out! While I was in there I decided to have a Flash Sale. So, all the Funky Hand CD ROMs that are available on the Funky Hand website are, for a short time, just £1.00 each.
All the CDs are included Papercraft Factory and the Original CDs. If you have any gaps in your Funky Hand CD collection then now is the time to fill them.
There are only a few copies allocated to the sale for each CD, some more than others depending on the stock numbers..so when those allocated copies have gone..they are gone!
See you over on the website

Anyone for Tea Darling - It's Paula Here?
Hello to all our regular 'Get Funky' readers - and a massive warm welcome to any new ones.
I hope you are going to join in with the challenge this month which is based on this sketch created by Anice:
The Design Team all loved this sketch and couldn't wait to get going with it - we sure hope you do too. If you want to read how Anice kicked off the challenge - please click HERE where she will tell you all you need to know about joining in. If in doubt - you just need to ensure that at least ONE of the elements on your project is from either a Funky Hand CD or Funky Hand Download from the website, but if you own neither - here is a very generous funky freebie download paper that you can use to join in with this months challenge. Just to make it a bit easier - could you please tell us which collection from which CD your paper is from.
Click on the pic of the freebie in order to take you to the place where you can download it (please don't share the file with anyone - just direct them to this blog and encourage your crafty friends to take part too)...
Well, without further ado - here is my project this month, which I completed using the 'Dreams Come True' CD, the collection is called 'Delightful Fun'
I hope you like the colour scheme as much as I do - those deep pinks with the taupe colour along with black looks very classy I think. The image is from the Papercraft Factory set of CD's and comes with the 'Craft the Year Away' CD - but can be used with any of the three CD's when used in the workspace area. I have used similar colour Promarkers to highlight the image to bring it all together. The sentiment stamped on the front is from a collection from my stash.
Well, that's it for me this month (where does the time go?). I hope I've inspired you to join in and even take a look at the CD's again - the potential of the Papercraft Factory CD's is phenomenal... even the older, Funky Hand original CD's have some stunning papers on - and are very relevent and on-trend now. It's as if Anice was ahead of her time with her designs when she created them - or you could even say that they are infact timeless - and just really useful all the time, any time!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a look at my DT project, don't forget to keep an eye out for more inspiration from the rest of the team too.
Remember to click HERE to find out about entering - or if you are a regular, enter by clicking on Mr Frog below this and every post on this months blog posts.
Take good care of yourselves and see you back here soon

Going Round in Circles Challenge - Paula's turn!
Phew!... I finally get to share my first ever DT post for Funky Hand with you - and I can't tell you how excited I've been... I've literally been chomping at the bit waiting for my turn to come along!!!
Funkette Faye sends her apologies to all as she was due to post with me today, however - she promises that she will BURST on to the scene as soon as she has finished moving house and has unpacked her crafting stash.

This month, Allison set the challenge 'Going Round in Circles'. Regulars to the challenge blog may already know that to be eligible for the challenge draw - your project must include at least ONE Funky Hand design paper - whether that be a download or from a CD. HOWEVER - if you have no DP's from Funky Hand but would really like to join in, you will find a fabulous freebie in the on-line Funky Hand store which has been designed specifically for this challenge by our 'Chief Funkette', Anice. Go HERE to get crafting for this challenge straight away. So any newbies wishing to join in with the challenge you really have no excuse because you can get the one requisite Funky Hand design paper for nothing - thats nada, nothing, zero pennies. Alison will explain more if you go to her original post HERE which kicked off this months challenge on the Funky Fifteenth of January.
My 'offering' (s) to you today is a card that is sooooo easy to achieve - and if you're like me, you'll get carried away making loads of them. Basically, I wanted to inspire and challenge you to use up all of those bits of Funky Hand paper left over from your other projects.
card one
Card two
Card three
variations on a theme
See what I mean about getting carried away?!!! The last three show that you can make a bunch of them - all of which are a variation on a theme - meaning that no two of them look alike. it wouldn't matter if they did though because you know that if you stick to a colour collection they are all going to compliment each other perfectly (you could give several of them in a gift in a box using the same colour scheme as a present. Also, it uses all those scraps up. Similarly though, imagine how many you could make if you purposely printed out 3 different patterns from the same collection - thats loads of cards sorted don'tcha think?
For card one I've used a 6x6" blank card - (inking the edges is optional) and punched 9 circles using a 1.5" circle punch all from papers from the same collection. Remember you can also use your nestabilities too. All of the Good Luck cards are from the 'September Song' collection from the Craft the Year Away CD. The first one also includes matching buttons which are available on the website in packs sorted acording to the colour collection. Go HERE to check them out and use with the latest CD following the link for 'buttons'.
Card two has been made using one of the design papers from the 'Just Happy' collection on the 'Dreams Come True' CD as the base card then circles from various collections that appear to compliment each other - it's really fun to play about with various colours collections to see if they fit or not.
Finally, card three was also made by using a design from the 'Just Happy' collection on the 'Dreams Come True' CD - however, I brought in the grey circles from the 'Darkness Lifts' collection on the same CD.
All the images on these cards have been taken from the Paper Craft Factory collection of CDs. The sentiments on this collection of cards are either stamped or I've used some sentiment toppers from my stash. However, if you were to purpose make a batch of cards, you could use the new writer facility (new on the latest CD's - but updates your other Papercraft Factory CD's) to co-ordinate your sentiment to the purpose of the card i.e. thank you, with love, Sorry, Missing you etc etc and because you can type anything, there's no limit to what you can make a card for. Also very handy for those 'pet names' you might have for each other - of for unusual spellings of childrens names.
These quick cards are especially great if you are having a 'mojo drought'; quick, easy while still looking stylish, and you don't need to use much brain power to make them LOL... Remember, card making should be fun, so just play about to see what goes with what - but for the best results, use matching papers from the same colour collection.

Right, I hope I've inspired you enough with my DT sample cards that you will join in with the challenge. For more information about the challenge - and on how you can take part, remember to click HERE where our Allison explains all about it.
That's all from me - hope I did good on my FIRST DT POST EVER (you never know - it could be my last too LOL) and that I didn't waffle too much (yeh - right!)!
I hope to see your cards/more cards in the challenge - and to see if you can come up with a variation on my theme!
Hugs to all
